The counts on this page represent the total number of challenged vote-by-mail ballots. The Department of Elections contacts voters whose ballots are challenged, and notifies them of the reason and how to resolve the issue so that their ballots can be counted. If a voter resolves the issue by the deadline imposed by law, their ballot will be accepted (counted) and removed from this list, resulting in variances in the counts that are displayed.
