Today is Election Day – All Ballots Must Be Received by 8 p.m.

SAN FRANCISCO, June 8, 2010 – Today is Election Day for the Consolidated Statewide Direct Primary Election, and polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. citywide. Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the Department of Elections by 8 p.m. tonight to be counted.

Voters may find the location of their polling place by looking at the back cover of the Voter Information Pamphlet, or by using the Polling Place Lookup tool on the Department of Elections’ website.

Vote-by-mail voters who have not yet returned their ballot may drop it off at the Department of Elections office in City Hall or at any polling place in San Francisco. All vote-by-mail ballots must be in the possession of the Department by 8 p.m. tonight to be counted. Postmarks will not count.

Any San Francisco voter may also come to the Department of Elections today and vote in person. Located on the ground floor of City Hall, the Department’s voting station will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
